Got an email from Bill Taylor, former Fleet Captain with Con Trios Yacht Club, now living and boating in Arkansas.  Bill is in the process of rebuilding the Little Rock Yacht Club members and events.  Their parties and events sound all too familiar!

 Thank you for making the Ice Breaker a very special event.

Special thanks to Harry and Rosalyn Hasting for lending us the use of their building. Having it indoors helped make the event successful.

 Next, thanks to everyone who brought a dish that added to the humongous amount of food that was available to eat. J

 To the crew who stepped in to help; Greg Thompson for cooking the Beef Tenderloins and Chicken, Gene May who walked up innocently offering to help, thinking he would move just a few boxes but ended up cooking all the fish and fry’s for fifty plus people.  Also thanks to Ed Hendrick for being the coordinator between the cookers and organizing the hot food table. 

 To the ladies who sold the tickets, Lynn and Teresa and the many others. A special thanks to Teresa and Sara for loading the cars with all the Gypsy cooking stuff and washing the dishes.  To Paula May for taking all those pictures …

 I also want to thank Steve, Cathy & Sara for making sure we left the place as good as the way we found it.

 On to the big winners, Bill Warren and Norma Hoffmann who won the drawing of the big prize … they don’t get to play next time…. Ha ha

To Deb McCormack, Greg Thompson, Harry, Rosalyn and Irene for bring door prizes.

If I am missing someone, I’m sorry for my poor memory. 

 The next event is the Blessing of the Fleet scheduled for 19 May 2007 at 4 pm with a catered meal.  Watch for more to Follow on this event.  J
